2024 BBQ Sauce Contest
Do you know the secret to making the BEST barbeque sauce? Are you ready to show off your culinary skills? Then we hope you will consider signing up for our BBQ Sauce Contest where the winner gets bragging rights for the rest of the year! Not a big enough incentive? That’s fair. What if we sell your sauce and give you all the proceeds? Now that I have your attention, all you have to do is fill out the form below so we know what you will be making!
The rules are simple - Complete the form below and make at least 32 fluid ounces of your amazing BBQ sauce in one of the categories listed in the form. Bring your sauce to the Oakland Community Garden @ New Hope Christian Church no later than Friday, September 20th. That’s it! We will package your sauce in 4oz squeeze bottles with YOUR INFO on the label. If your sauce wins the taste contest, we will offer all 4 bottles for sale during our Fall Festival BBQ Fundraiser on Saturday, September 21st. The more sauce you make, the more profitable your winnings. ;-).
So what happens if you aren’t chosen as King or Queen of the BBQ Sauces? Your bottled BBQ sauce will be placed on the tables during our Fall Festival BBQ for our patrons to use on their pork or chicken plates. This is still a win for you because you and all your fans will get to enjoy your wonderful sauce while we fundraise to feed families in need.
